Episode 29: Are You a Godly Leader?
Monday Sep 30, 2019
Monday Sep 30, 2019
In Episode 29, “Are You a Godly Leader?” Kim shares the last words from the book of Joshua, as described in Joshua 24:29-33.
So, are you a Godly leader? Leadership comes in different shapes and sizes. Joshua was called to lead the Israelite nation, whereas, you may have been called to lead your family in a Godly manner.
All who are followers of Christ are called to be Godly leaders. There are no exceptions.
What can we learn about Godly leadership from the life of Joshua?
Here are just a few thoughts. Godly leaders:
Are servants of the Lord;
Have a personal relationship with the Lord;
Are attentive to the Lord’s voice
Commit to obedience of God’s voice, even when the instruction makes no earthly sense;
Humble himself/herself before God and others;
Admit mistakes;
Have courage to pray God-sized prayers;
Learn from other leaders;
Seek to use mistakes to bring about good;
Encourage remembrances of what God has done;
Instruct in godliness;
Challenge all the fence-sitters.

Monday Sep 23, 2019
Monday Sep 23, 2019
In Episode 28, “Choose Today Whom You Will Serve” Kim shares the fifth section of Joshua’s final words to the Israelites, as described in Joshua 24:14-28.
In section 1, Joshua challenged the Israelites to Cling Tightly to the Lord. In Section 2, he instructed them to what NOT to cling. In Section 3, Joshua pointed them back to their spiritual roots. In Section 4, Joshua talked about their shared time of God’s victories and blessings. In our final section, Joshua challenges them to choose today whom they will serve.
He refers them to several options he knows they will be tempted to serve. When they strongly say they will choose to serve the Lord, he made a covenant with the people, wrote their commitment in the Book of God’s Instructions and set up a stone as a memorial.

Episode 22: Movin' Past Mistakes
Monday Aug 12, 2019
Monday Aug 12, 2019
In Episode 22, “Movin' Past Mistakes” Kim shares the concept of the cities of refuge from Joshua 20. To receive refuge in those cities, one had to admit his wrongdoing and be willing to accept appropriate consequences.
Kim challenges listeners to approach their mistakes or wrongdoings in a 5-fold manner:
1. Admit Your Mistake or Wrongdoing (and make NO EXCUSES for your behavior);
2. Accept Appropriate Consequences;
3. Apologize to Those Hurt by Your Choices (i.e., God, Others, Yourself);
4. Assess the Situation from a Prayerful Mindset (Ask God to reveal to you any wrong choices you made, right choices you could have made)
5. Apply the Lessons as You Press Forward to Become the Person God Created You to Be.

Dear Lord,
I pray that from Your glorious, unlimited resources You will empower each listener with inner strength through Your Spirit. May You make Your home in her(/his) heart as she trusts in You. May her roots grow down into Your love and keep her strong. And may she have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Your love is. May she experience Your love, though it is too great to understand fully. Then may she be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from You. Now all glory to You, who is able, through Your mighty power at work within her, to accomplish infinitely more than she might ask or think. (Ephesians 3:16-20 Personalized Prayer)
