4 Then Goliath, a Philistine champion from Gath, came out of the Philistine ranks to face the forces of Israel. He was over nine feet tall! 5 He wore a bronze helmet, and his bronze coat of mail weighed 125 pounds. 6 He also wore bronze leg armor, and he carried a bronze javelin on his shoulder. 7 The shaft of his spear was as heavy and thick as a weaver’s beam, tipped with an iron spearhead that weighed 15 pounds. His armor bearer walked ahead of him carrying a shield.
 
33 “Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.”

Ep.118: More Than Conquerors: The Lord of Heaven's Armies

In Podcast Episode 118, “More Than Conquerors: The Lord of Heaven’s Armies,” Kim discusses multiple foci in the story of David and Goliath. David was the one person to focus appropriately on the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and his focus made the biggest difference between utter defeat (or a no-show) and being a conduit for the Lord’s victory.

Ep. 117: More Than Conquerors: Introduction

In Podcast Episode 117, “More Than Conquerors: Introduction,” Kim kicks her newest multi-episode series inspired by the attitude and actions of young David in his encounter with the giant Goliath. Ep. 116: Leading with the Heart of a Servant

In Podcast Episode 116, “Leading with the Heart of a Servant,” Kim discusses the humble service of young David and the challenge to serve others issued by Jesus. Jesus definitely flipped the script on the earthly view of leadership. As humans, our human tendency is to seek to power over others. Yet, Jesus said to be  a true leader you must be a servant.

Ep. 115: Never Settle for Less Than God's Best

In Podcast Episode 115, “Never Settle for Less Than God’s Best,” Kim discusses the temptation we face to settle for less than God’s best. There may be many reasons we settle. In today’s story we see Samuel faced with one of those. What would have happened if he had attempted to settle for a king from David’s brothers? Ep. 114: The Lord Looks at the Heart

Ep. 113: Fearing People, Failing God

In Podcast Episode 113, “Fearing People, Failing God,” Kim discusses the temptation we face to put the fear of what others may think about us above the priority of fully obeying the Lord. Whose opinion truly matters most in your life?

Ep. 110: Act As Though Nothing Can Hinder the Lord

In Podcast Episode 110, “Act As Though Nothing Can Hinder the Lord,” Kim discusses the spiritual eyesight of Jonathan and the victory the Lord provided. Saul and his troops were not looking for the Lord to move, so they were as confused as the Philistines. However, Jonathan had acted through eyes of faith and clearly saw the victory the Lord had provided.
