In Episode 31, “Life Transitions Rule #1: Ask the Lord for Guidance” Kim talks about some life transition times and the importance of asking the Lord for guidance especially during these times.
In Judges 1:1, we see a huge transition for the Israelite nation — “After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, ‘Which tribe should go first to attack the Canaanites?’”
This phrase caused Kim to begin thinking about all the “After the” transitions we face in life.
Here are just a few to begin the discussion. After the:
- Death of someone you:
- love,
- fear,
- depend upon,
- have an ambiguous relationship with,
- experienced conflict with,
- wronged,
- looked to for leadership or guidance;
- End of a dream (life, business);
- Storm;
- Fire;
- Closed door (relationship, job opportunity);
- Accident—whether a wreck, fall, etc.;
- Diagnosis;
- Treatments ended;
- Victory;
- Defeat;
- Retirement;
