In Episode 29, “Are You a Godly Leader?” Kim shares the last words from the book of Joshua, as described in Joshua 24:29-33.
So, are you a Godly leader? Leadership comes in different shapes and sizes. Joshua was called to lead the Israelite nation, whereas, you may have been called to lead your family in a Godly manner.
All who are followers of Christ are called to be Godly leaders. There are no exceptions.
What can we learn about Godly leadership from the life of Joshua?
Here are just a few thoughts. Godly leaders:
- Are servants of the Lord;
- Have a personal relationship with the Lord;
- Are attentive to the Lord’s voice
- Commit to obedience of God’s voice, even when the instruction makes no earthly sense;
- Humble himself/herself before God and others;
- Admit mistakes;
- Have courage to pray God-sized prayers;
- Learn from other leaders;
- Seek to use mistakes to bring about good;
- Encourage remembrances of what God has done;
- Instruct in godliness;
- Challenge all the fence-sitters.
