Ep. 77: No Turning Back

In Podcast Episode 77, “No Turning Back,” Kim discusses the concept of “no turning back” level of commitment. Ruth proclaimed her commitment to her mother-in-law Naomi, and she lived out this commitment. Many of us have made a similar commitment to Christ but are not living it out wholeheartedly in our daily lives. May be today be the day you “give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow” Jesus (from Luke 9:23).

The primary scripture text for this episode is Ruth 1:16-18, with a focal verse of :

16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. 17 Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” 18 When Naomi saw that Ruth was determined to go with her, she said nothing more.

But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. 25 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed? 26 If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels. 27 I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:21-27)
