Ep. 220: Jumping on the Bandwagon

In Podcast Episode 220, “Jumping on the Bandwagon,” Kim discusses the dangers of the “jumping on the bandwagon” mentality. When King David was mournfully leaving Jerusalem, few stood by his side. Yet, when he returns as the victorious King, the people of Israel and Judah are fighting over who gets to escort him.

 

Our focal passage for this episode is 2 Samuel 19:41-43 with the focal verse of 41.

 

41 But all the men of Israel complained to the king, “The men of Judah stole the king and didn’t give us the honor of helping take you, your household, and all your men across the Jordan.”
